Kinetica has started 2021 on a fresh-footing and is embracing and focusing on the positives and learnings of last year … all over Australia.
Technology and a commitment to constant innovation have not only enabled the kinetica team to remain closely knitted and collaboratively connected over the last 12 months, but to also grow stronger together and apart.
Julia Bell, Tim Nichols and Lucinda Peterson have each firmly confirmed location is no longer an impediment to collaborating as a team and with clients. Having now officially relocated to Tasmania (Jules), Western Australia (Tim) and regional Victoria (Lu) kinetica is able to now boast a high-functioning network of ‘satellite offices and a range of personal knowledge, skills and experience deployed across Australia.
The spatial expansion of our remote offering has been an exciting and unexpected bonus to come out of the last year and has enabled a new and growing range of private and public engagements and requests to collaborate and contribute our specialist urban design and planning expertise to projects not only all over Victoria and now interstate, including in Launceston, Perth, and Western Victoria.
Like many of you, we owe a big part of our remote success to technology and the innovation and willingness of the whole kinetica team to grow and to learn.
Following several recent and experiences and successes with conducting online design inquiries, group consultations, and professional presentations, it has been immensely rewarding to receive positive feedback on how kinetica is using technology and different virtual platforms to deliver projects and enhance the client experience.
“Thank you both and your teams (Jess) for today’s workshop …It was a fantastic day ..really well structured and really engaging … and the use of technology was the best I have experienced in Zoom …” Local Government client
In the same theme, we recently trialled software developed by Giraffe, www.giraffe.build, which proved highly effective as an urban design platform in a presentation to Development Victoria.
On the home front, all this innovating and kinetica’s expansion into new markets has enabled us to grow the kinetica team, and we are pleased to announce the appointments of Jess Jones, Sushmitha Jayaram and Estella Qing.
Finally, we would like to congratulate Alison Milner on her promotion to Senior Associate. Alison’s expert opinion and strengths are highly sought in all aspects of planning strategy and approvals, strategic planning assessments, restrictive covenant matters, land acquisition and compensation matters.
As always, if you have a project on which we might be able assist and or are looking for a partner to innovate and trial something new, we look forward to hearing from you.
